RON BARCELÓ, preferred by young people
In 1994, Varma began to distribute Ron Barceló in Spain and in 2000 the brand was acquired by Varma.
We have all together made it a sales leader in the Dark rum Spanish market thanks to focusing the strategy on the consumer by means of the Philosophy of “Vive ahora”.
A high profile example of this is the creation of Ron Barceló Desalia festival, attracting more than 5000 consumers every year to enjoy the most important music festival in the Caribbean.
HENDRICK'S: The new super Premium Gin
In 2004, the distribution of Hendrick´s Gin in Spain was incorporated into Varma. A new extravagant and amusing staging was raised by means of the communication concept “A MOST UNUSUAL GIN”, being very different to any earlier staged operation for a gin brand. Such was the success that in only seven years we have accomplished to increase thirteenfold the sales becoming a leader in the super premium domain by exceeding 30 points of the segment quote.
OUTSTANDING COMMUNICATION results
We are specialised in communication. In the last edition of Ron Barceló Desalia we reached 8 Trending Topics in 3 weeks, with a total reach of more than 5 million people and generated more than 280 press releases.
And we continue to grow with the rest of the brands. Fireball is positioned as a leader in the Spirits market in social networks in terms of engagement and virality.

We have been importing Capitán Maní for more than 20 years, so that the Spanish consumer can enjoy the genuine American peanut butter without having to leave home.
Capitán Maní is the most authentic peanut butter produced in the United States and leader in the spanish market, where we grow in sales and distribution year after year, with more than 60% in market share.
FIREBALL: making a difference in the shot category
Fireball was launched in the Spanish market in the summer of 2016, and in just two years has managed to double its sales in volume compared to the previous year and become a benchmark brand in the shot category.
